Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Audits
Every workplace should undergo Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) audit or review periodically to ensure continuous improvements in their workplace safety and health. Under the Safety and Health Management Systems Regulations 2009 (which was implemented from 1st March 2020), it was mandated that the following workplaces to have their SHMS audit by an approved SAC Auditing Organization within a stipulated period.
Note: Kindly note that as of 1st October 2018, only SAC accredited WSH auditing organizations (based on SAC’s accreditation criteria, CT 17 – Criteria for Accreditation of Auditing Organizations) are allowed by MOM to be registered as WSH auditing organizations.

Failure to comply and implement a Workplace Safety and Health Management Systems, he/she is liable to be penalized to a fine not exceeding S$10,000.00 and if the conviction continues, he/she shall be liable to a fine not exceeding S$1,000.00 for every day or part thereof during which the offense continues after conviction.
