GWO is a non-profit organization and was founded to ensure injury-free working environment in the wind industry, to establish common international standards for safety training and emergency procedures.

SOCOTEC Certification Singapore (SCS) is one of the certification bodies accredited to audit training providers wishing to offer GWO certified training. Prior to certification, the training providers are to:  

  • Ensure that they have the physical resources, management system, staff resources and training capabilities to demonstrate readiness for certification, 

  • Register your facility and desire to become certified with SCS and GWO WINDA (Wind Industry Database), 

  • After SCS have conducted the audit and certification is granted, SCS will upload your certificate to the GWINDA platform, and your organization will pay the necessary annual GWO certification fee. CWO will contact you to complete your registration, and you will receive the ‘Certified Training Provider’ logo with instructions for use,   

  • Your GWO certification with SCS is valid for two years and SCS will conduct surveillance audits to assess your ongoing compliance with GWO requirements. After two years, SCS will re-audit your organization in line with the latest GWO criteria.
