SS 587:2013 - Management of end-of-life- ICT equipment.

The Singapore Standard for management of end-of-life equipment enables all organizations, regardless of their size, location and the nature of their business, to manage Information and Communication Technology (ICT) equipment no longer in use in a socially environmentally responsible manner.  


This standard placed greater emphasis on the management of end-of-life ICT equipment, which encompasses :

    - Reuse
    - Repair
    - Remanufacturing
    - Salvage
    - Material recovery
    - Responsible disposal.


This standard creates awareness on organisation’s Corporate Social Responsibility and irresponsible disposal of ICT equipment.   This standard applies to all organisations, including SME, as well as large and multi-national enterprises.
