SS 587 is the Singapore Standard for the management of end-of-life ICT (Infocomm Technology) equipment. The standard provides companies and organizations using ICT equipment in their daily operations with guidelines to manage their equipment in environmentally responsible ways when the equipment reaches their end-of-life. ICT equipment includes mobile devices, computers, servers, etc. SS 587 emphasizes environmentally responsible management processes such as reuse, repair, material recovery, remanufacturing, salvage, and responsible disposal.
